DULUTH, Minn. – The Bethany Lutheran men's and women's track and field teams competed in Day One of the Upper Midwest Athletic Conference (UMAC) Indoor Track and Field Championship on Friday night.

WOMEN:
The St. Scholastica Saints top the team standings with 74.5 points, but the University of Wisconsin-Superior is just behind with 63 points. Bethany Lutheran also remains in the conversation for a title with 61.5 points in third.
Rookie
Megan Rutt added to Bethany Lutheran's improved team performances by winning the high jump. The first-year cleared 1.50 meters (4-11) to win her first event and help add to the Vikings team score.
MEN:
The Yellowjackets boast a score of 116.5 points to lead the field, while the University of Minnesota Morris is second with 40 points and St. Scholastica sits third with 38 points. Wisconsin-Superior was able to build their lead thanks to several impressive individual performances Friday. In addition to the top three team scores, Bethany Lutheran sits in fourth with 32 points, while Crown College has 15 points for fifth and the University of Northwestern has 14.5 points for sixth.
Noah Larson of Bethany Lutheran, captured an event win for the Vikings in the high jump with the day's best mark of 1.90 meters (6-2.75).
