Head Coach Michael Dunn stated this following the men's performance, "Today was a first for our men to step out and run an 8k this season, and they gritted out a tough race.. We have a lot of work to do this season as a unit, but we had some great things happen today overall. Stefan ran his first ever 8k and did very well. He's still trying to figure out this distance thing, but running with Zach Dantzman for most of the race is helping him at a fast rate. We are looking forward to a few weeks of hard work before our next race at BVU."

(19) Megan Sauer – 24:52.10
(30) Kirsten Elyea – 25:45.50
(42) Morgan Sauer – 26:17.10
(43) Lydia Hildebrandt – 26:24.20
(63) Brianna Soutthivong – 27:49.20
 (66) Jemimah Cordes – 27:51.50
(83) Brittany Moldstad – 30:05.00

Dunn shared these comments about the women's performance, "Our athletes came into today to compete against some of our regions highest quality athletes, we did a great job as a team and I am proud of them for gutting it out on the course. We have a long way to go and a lot of work ahead of us, but these women showed grit today and we look forward to watching them progress this season." Dunn also added, "Megan Sauer and Kirsten Elyea both led the women with great 6k openers and Morgan Sauer really stepped us today proving Megan is not the only Sauer determined to help build this year's team."
