Mankato, Minn. – Two Bethany Lutheran baseball players are spending their summer in Washington after being picked up to play in the Puget Sound Collegiate League.
Casey Woodside (Albert Lea, Minn./MN-Crookston) and Tommy Kramer (Blooming Prairie, Minn./Rochester CC) will be playing with the Lacey Saints for seven weeks, their first game is scheduled for June 1. They are joined by other top ballplayers in the country chosen to play in the PSCL, and will have an opportunity to play non-league games against top flight competition.
Woodside was awarded UMAC All-Conference Honorable Mention after leading the Vikings with 13 doubles and four home runs while batting .344 on the season. Kramer also had a solid season batting in 18 runs on 24 hits.
